Waldcafe in Freudenstadt

This quaint restaurant in the city forest between huge fir trees is exactly what makes the Black Forest so attractive. In a family atmosphere, the Waldcafé is also an extremely popular meeting point for locals. When it rains or snow, the open fire crackles comfortably, people sing and play. The food is delicious, traditionally Swabian, good home-style. With an outstanding child and youth friendliness from the sandpit to the tree house, the Waldcaffé really stands out.

My daughter and I walked here on Dec 26th. We had beer, cake, gluhwien and a very special "shot" we met some lovely people who travel from North Germany every year to be here at Christmas.We felt very welcome and we will be back!

Nice cozy cafe in the middle of the forest and surprisingly well attended.

We discovered the cafe by chance on our bike tour. Very friendly and a plentiful selection of cakes. Lies hidden in the forest.

Very nice café with a very great atmosphere in the forest. The staff is very nice and everything is clean. The drinks are good and the food is okay too.

Very nice location. Courteous and friendly service. A phone call is recommended for longer journeys. From time to time there are closed societies.

We came specially from Karlsruhe today and parked the car at the Hotel Langenwaldsee. Bad signage. When we finally reached the top of the Waldcafe, we were told “closed society”. No information on the website😡

Very nice, located in the middle of the forest cafe on a very beautiful, natural trail. The cake portions and the food portions are huge. Good value for money.

We recommend. We have been there many times and were always served in the most friendly manner. But above all, the price / performance ratio is right. Great sausage salad and cheese platter. Very nice hosts and friendly wait staff. We are always happy to come back!
